About
Teaching continues to be one of Simone's most rewarding endeavours in life. She loves observing and contributing to the nurture and success of her students and watching them soar. She is always looking for inspiration, tools and projects that will encourage her students to go on the adventure of learning, now and in the future. Simone has the skills and techniques in wide range of material through extensive studio training in musical theatre, opera, jazz and folk music. She began studying voice at age 14. She continued that study at The University of Lethbridge with intention of pursuing a professional career as an opera singer but she fell in love with teaching. She has furthered her own education in vocal technique since through private lessons and workshops and she continues to perform for the fun of it. She has taught singing formally (private singing lessons) and informally (teaching songs as a teaching tool in the classroom). Her musical education also included music theory, music history, piano at an intermediate level. To teach is to ignite students’ innate curiosity, encourage them to ask questions and discover the greatness that they truly can be, and she finds it a joy to be a part of that.
